I
started by drafting machinery parts and drawing diagrams for owner's
manuals. It's great work but industry standards confine
creativity. I needed to find something that gave me
freedom to express myself so I started making small signs.
With
the advent of CAD sign making systems, the industry became very
competitive and I knew I would need to find a niche right
away. There were a lot of sign companies out there but not
all were capable of designing nice signs. I began
marketing my design skills to the companies I knew could use a
designer but couldn't necessarily afford one. I kept fair
prices and turned my work around in a timely manner which kept
most of the clients happy, most of the time.
When
I am invited to work with a company and help them develop their
identity, I consider it an honor and a compliment that they have
chosen me as their designer. I value their trust and
find great satisfaction knowing I can provide them with quality,
appealing artwork that meets their needs.
